I managed to hang a tag on a public land oryx on a July hunt in New Mexico. I was in an old lava flow, about a half mile from my vehicle, and had to pack out the meat and head in the July heat by myself.
I wouldn't have attempted it without my Big Game Skinner. I have been dragging dressed game out of sandhills, woods, and mountains for 35 years, until I watched your videos and bought an original, raw aluminum Big Game Skinner several years ago. It changed the way I hunt, and has opened up new opportunities for me. I'm a fan of the "gutless" method for recovering game meat, but still get in there for the heart and liver. I also carry an SOG camp axe and a thick knife for splitting the sternum and removing the ribs.
