I wanted to write you and let you know how the Raptor Razor Big Game Skinner and the MAKO knife worked out for me. I was able to put it to the test the day after I got them while on an elk hunt and all I can say is "I am sure glad I had these knives in my pack"!
There must have been some real thought put into the design of these knives. Everything is perfect from
the lightweight yet bomb-proof construction to the comfortable grip and ease of use. One of the things that really stood out to me that set your knives apart from the other replaceable blade knives that I have used is the past is the fact that I was able to gut, skin and later quarter and process a whole elk without ever needing to replace a single blade. With other knives I have used in the past I would have gone through close to a dozen blades due to the blades breaking or becoming dull. I love the fact that the handle is textured, it really gives you a good grip and great control even when wet. The lightweight design and the way that these knives come apart to become so compact is ingenious. This makes a huge difference when you frequently find yourself hunting out of a backpack for 10 days straight and you have to make every ounce count.
