Benefits to being a Raptorazor Affiliate

Congratulations!  As a Raptorazor Affiliate, you are now set up to:

• Provide your friends or social media page visitors a great discount at Raptorazor.com
• Earn generous commissions on the purchase made by those who you refer either actively or passively through promotional banners on your social media pages or website.

How to use your Affiliate Referral Link or Discount Code

• Simply post your personal tracking URL on your social media pages and instruct the visitor to click on it to go to Raptorazor.com so that ther purchases will earn you commissions.  You can offer your visitors a discount if they use your Discount Code when checking out.
• Alternatively you can just provide your Discount Code (e.g. RR0700) and ask the viewer to visit Raptorazor.com and use the Discount Code when checking out to get their discount and you will be credited the commission automatically.
• Your referral url can be embedded in images (e.g. promotional banners) on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or Linkedin pages using Anyimage.io.  Once embedded; when people click the banner, they go straight to Raptorazor.com and you will earn a commission on their purchase.  For them to get the promised discount, they will still need to enter the Discount Code (e.g. RR0700) into the promo code field when checking out.

(Note:  That your Personal Referral Discount Code is different from any Pro Staff discount code that you might have been given when you became a member of the Raptorazor Pro Staff.  That code was for a 50% discount on a limited number of orders and applied only to purchases for your own personal use.  Your Affiliate Discount Code provides a discount for people you refer to Raptorazor.com. When your Personal Referral Discount Code is used, you will earn a commission on the sale.)

How to download logos, images, banners, etc. 

You can manage your Affiliate Program and download images by logging in at the bottom of the Raptorazor website (www.raptorazor.com) and clicking; “Affiliate Login”.

To download a banner for placement on your social media pages or website, login to your Affiliate Portal (“Affiliate Login” at the bottom of Raptorazor.com).  Once logged in, click “Shops” then “Raptorazor”.

Select the media the you like and click “Download”

How to find your Personal Referral URL

A personal tracking URL has been created for you and can be found on your Affiliate page under Referral URL.  If you wish to create several unique tracking URL’s  to be able to identify the traffic from various sources (such as one for each of your social media pages) you can do so by clicking “Aliases” 

How to find your Personal Referral Discount Code

When you register as an Affiliate, within a few days we will issue you a Discount Code (e.g. RR0700).  When you share the discount code with your friends or online visitors, and they use it to make a purchase at www.raptorazor.com, they will receive the current discount rate and you will receive a commission.

How to Add your Discount Code and Discount Rate to an image

To get best results you should add your Personal Referral Discount Code to the downloaded banners.  Following is one method for doing this in Windows:

In Windows; go to your list of Apps, then under
“Windows Accessories” find “Paint” and open it.

In “Paint’ go to “File” then “Open” then browse to find your downloaded banner.

Once you click on the banner you wish to open inside the “Paint” app, you can use the zoom feature within the “View” tab to enlarge the size of the image as needed.

In the “File” tab, click the color that you want to have your text appear in (such as white).  Then click the text icon (“A”).  You can then use the cursor to select an area on the banner to enter your text.

Select the Font you like.  Select the Font Size and Bold, Italics or Underline as you wish.

Then type in the something like “Get 30% Off” or “Save 30%” or similar language and provide your Personal Referral Discount Code (e.g. RR0700).  Providing the discount will encourage people to click on your banner and make a purchase.

Before you click your mouse outside the selected area, you can move the borders of the selected area in or out, and you can move the entire selected area around.  If you are not familiar with the “Paint” app, you will probably need to experiment a bit. 

To save your finished banner, go to “File”, then “Save as” then “JPEG” (or PNG) and chose a location on your hard drive to save the finished banner.

There are many other ways of adding text to JPEG (image) files such as with some photo-editing software such as Photoshop and others.  The above method is generally available to anyone running Microsoft Windows. 

You can now either post your banner on your social media pages using one of three options:

• You can just include your Referral URL as somewhere near the post as text or image caption like this:

How to use AnyImage.io to embed your referral code in an image for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or Linkedin (Instagram not supported).

• You can embed your Referral URL into the image so that when people click the image, they go straight to Raptorazor.com and you earn commissions on all their purchases. To accomplish this follow these steps:
  • Go to: https://anyimage.io/ and follow the instructions provided in the video and on the AnyImage website to see how an image can be posted to any of your social media pages with embedded links inside.
  • The click rate has been shown to be significantly higher when an image is directly clickable rather than hoping that the viewer notices a nearby URL and clicks on it.
• If you post banners on your own website, it is easy to embed your Referral URL into the banners; just follow the instructions that apply to your particular website platform.
• If you are including banners in email (via outlook) or documents (e.g. WORD), its easy to embed your Referral URL… Just right click on the banner or selected text, then go to “Link” then “Insert Link”, then enter your Referral URL in the Address field). (Examples below)

• To embed URLs in text using HTML do the following:
• Surround the link text with the HTML tags as follows. Type "<a  href=(“Your Referral URL here”… inside of quotation marks) then  > then your link text (e.g. Click Here) and “</a>” at the end of the phrase.
• Example of what final link should look like:

• Emails with images sent through Gmail or certain other email platforms may not accommodate embedded URLS.

Note that when people click your Referral URL they go to Raptorazor.com and you earn a commission on their purhases, however, they do not get a discount unless they enter your Discount Code in the "Promotional Code" field during checkout (e.g. RR0700).

How to Track your Sales and Access Other Information

After logging into your Affiliate Portal (accessed from the bottom of the page www.Raptorazor.com) click the menu titles on the left.

Other Ways to Promote Raptorazor as an Affiliate

• Print on the back of your business card (or have cards made) that display your Discount code and the Raptorazor web address.  For example:
• Save 30% at Raptorazor.com with discount code: RR0700
• Revolutionary Field Dressing Knives.
• Give the cards out to friends or people you meet.
• Distribute the cards at meetings or functions (everyone appreciates a discount code).
• Hand the cards out at tradeshows you may be attending or give the cards to friends who are manning tradeshow booths.
• Ask hunting or gun shop owners if you can put the cards on their counter.
• Pin the cards to bulletin boards.
• Add a message to the bottom of your emails as a "Signature" For example:
• "Save 30% at Raptorazor.com with code: RR0700"

How Commissions are Paid

Commissions are paid quarterly if the balance due is over $100.   Amounts under $100 will be allowed to accrue until they reach $100 or more.  Commissions are calculated at the end of each calendar quarter (March 30, June 30, September 31, December 31) and paid within 30 days of the end of the quarter.

You can keep track of your traffic, orders, commissions, etc. all on the Dashboard at your Affiliate Portal accessible by clicking "Affiliate Login" at the bottom of the Raptorazor.com home page.
